The chef himself, Adrian De Berardinis, decided to make the web series as a way to show how sexy food and cooking to him -- and help curious people become better chefs. And for those who do have the skill already, hopefully they will take away a dish that they've never tried or eaten before. But above all, I hope that they don't take what I'm doing too seriously even though the food is legit.

Throughout the s, thanks to the rising popularity of cookbooks, food magazines, and the increasing frequency of instructional cooking shows on public television, interest in home-cooked food continued to rise in America. Unlike aspiring female home cooks who might feel pressured to appease a demanding husband or impress their friends, colleagues, or mother-in-law, gay men had nothing to prove in the kitchen. They could simply indulge in their domestic fantasies with a playful approach and treat it all with a grain of salt or, as it were, fleur de sel. After all, they had always known how to appropriate things that were originally intended for women—high heel shoes, makeup, wigs, melodrama, and Playgirl.
I think we can all agree that the spring and summer seasons brutally sucked this year thanks to the worldwide Coronavirus pandemic. However something that put a smile on our faces throughout was the art of cooking as we were all forced to switch from our restaurant-loving ways for a bit and head back to the kitchen for some deliciously home cooked meals.
